Chateau de Chateauneuf was built in 1132 by Jean Chaudenay. Chaudenay built this castle for his son Jehan. In later years, during the French Revolution, the castle was auctioned. In 1936, this location was donated to the state. This donation was made by George de Vogue.
Today this is a popular tourist attraction in France. It is also considered a Monument Historique. This is certainly one of the wonderful castles to explore in France.
